How Does Distance Reiki Work?

Updated: Jul 23, 2022

Distance Reiki healing is a powerful healing modality you can have while in the comfort of your own home while the Reiki Practitioner is many miles away. When you aren’t feeling well, nothing is better and more comfortable than your own bed, your go-to spot on the couch, or that cushy chair that fits you just right. This can sometimes be the best place for your healing to take place. Unlike traditional medicine that requires doctor visits and prescriptions; Distance Reiki works with energy and is sent to you in the comfort of your own home.

How does this work?

With Distant Reiki healing, energy is not bound by the traditional laws of physics. It can pass through time, space and boundaries that we have come to know in our physical world. Reiki is pure universal life force energy that is channeled by a Certified and Trained Reiki Practitioner who works together with God *(Source Energy) activating the flow of energy and connecting it with the client's energy to restore it back to its natural state of being. A natural state of being, (where our energetic systems should be) is where health and well-being reside.

Think of the Practitioner as a light switch. The electrical grid is the source. You are the lightbulb. The Practitioner simply flips the switch allowing the electricity to flow to the light. She doesn’t create the energy, she allows it to flow through her and to you through the connection that was made, as the wires do for electricity. Reiki energy flows without the need for cables. It is pure energy ready to be channeled to you.

Another way to understand how Distance Reiki works is to think of a cell phone. It is not necessary to be in physical proximity to a caller to talk on a cell phone, as cell phones use electromagnetic radio waves to connect with other cell phones. The same goes for cable T.V. and the Internet. They all operate and connect on different waves of frequency. We can’t physically see how it works, but it works!

Similarly, Reiki recipients do not need to be in physical proximity to Reiki practitioners to receive Reiki, just as practitioners don’t need to be near recipients to send it. Reiki connects us because we’re all one.

Receiving Reiki is all about the intention of the Practitioner and a willingness by the person receiving to accept this healing energy. Reiki can be channeled to heal old traumas, current illnesses or injuries, or even future situations like an upcoming surgery, job interview, or maybe a family situation that you may need additional support for.
